Maney "Tommy" Salter Jr., 65, of Newport, died Wednesday March 20, 2013 at Cherry Point Bay Nursing Facility.
The family will hold a memorial service 3:30 Saturday at Broad Creek Church of God Church with Rev. Wesley Holmes officiating.
He is survived by two sisters Diane Froehlich of Virginia, and Vicki Collins and husband Ron of Newport: a brother Louis Pryor of Fort Walton, FL: and an aunt June Page and husband Barry of Newport.
He was preceded in death by father Maney Thomas Salter, Sr., mother Nadine Pryor, and sister Manda Salter.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Broad Creek Church of God 394 Broad Creek Loop Rd. Newport, NC 28570.
