Mamie "Ruth" (Hardy) Morris

Ruth Hardy Morris, 83, died Monday December 24, 2012 at Harborview Health Towers.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Frese of First United Methodist Church of Morehead City officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Ms. Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Morehead City. Ruth provided instructions of ceramic and procelain making for Carteret Community College, and instructed at several nursing homes in the county as well.
She is survived by a daughter Frances Morris Mason of Beaufort: two sons David Morris, Jr., and wife Ann of Chocowinity, and Hardy Morris and wife Lynn of Pensacola, FL: a sister Helen Casey of Kinston: grandchildren Jennifer Morris Jones and husband Bradley, Stephen Mason III, Dail Morris III, Andrew Morris, and Grant Morris:and great granddaughter Charlotte Read Morris.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Dail Morris, two sisters Mary Hardy and Virginia Hill, brothers Thomas Hardy, Benjamin Hardy, William Hardy, and Quincy Hardy, and a son-in-law Stephen Robert Mason, Jr.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
