Mamie Grace Godwin, 73, of Morehead City, died Wednesday, Ocober 5, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She was a retired nurse from Carteret General Hopital, was a loyal member of Faith Baptist Church and was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her huband of 56 years, Jacob W. Godwin of the home; her daughter, Susan G. and husband William Jones of Davidson, NC; son, Jacob W. Godwin, Jr. of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Lee Perretti of Surprise, AZ and Paulette Norris of Kenansville, NC and two grandsons, Ryan Jones and Keary Jones of Davidson, NC.
She was preceded in death by her father amd mother, Paul K. and Lettie Small.
