Malcolm E. "PeeWee" Simmons,Jr., 84, of Newport, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Gurganus officiating. Interment will follow at Amariah Garner Cemetery.
He is survived by two sisters, Rebecca S. Moore and Susie Bryan both of Newport; brother, Ralph L. Simmons of Newport; also one niece, one nephew, and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm E. and Lena Rebecca Simmons, Sr., brother, Linwood Simmons and sister, Mary Lou Rice.
The family will receive friends 7:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home.
