Mae "Ruth" Trevathan
July 30, 1930 — April 13, 2012
Mae Ruth Trevathan, 81, of Morehead City, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at New Life Assembly of God with Rev. Allen Causley officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ruth was a member of New Life Assembly of God and sang in the church choir. She loved working in her yard.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tommy Trevathan of the home; three children, Roxanne Arthur and husband Jeffrey of Swansboro, Dawn Cottle and husband Clarence of Morehead City, and Joey Trevathan and wife Terri of Kailua, HI; seven grandchildren, Shane, Bree, Cameron, J.T., Dane, C.J., and Morgan; three great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Lancaster of Mt. Olive; nephew, Paul Bartlett of Greenville; and best friend, Debbie Ross.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James "Jimmy" and Bertha Bartlett, and four brothers.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home.
