Madeline Lupton Morris

Madeline Lupton Morris, 82, of Atlantic passed away Tuesday, May 31st at home.
Her service will be Friday, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church, Atlantic, North Carolina with Rev. Terry McInnis, Rev. Michael Fields and Rev. Eddie Brookshire officiating. Interment will be held at Cedar Island Community Cemetery.
She was one of three children born to Charlotte and Elmer Lupton of Cedar Island and the beloved wife of Leslie Gordon Morris for 62 years. “Granny” will forever be remembered for her gentle nature and her love for her family. She touched many lives with her smile and generosity. Granny gave us the best gift ever- each other.
She is survived by two daughters Wanda Morris Gaskill and husband Elmo of Atlantic, Debra Morris Hubbard and husband Kenneth of Star, NC and son Julian Gordon Morris of Atlantic. Brother, Julian Lupton of Beaufort and sister, Gladys Smith of Beaufort.
Grandchildren: Janie Gaskill Mason, James Ervin Gaskill, Sr., Shennon Morris Sharp, Kendra Hubbard Lawrence, Melissa Hubbard Autry, Charlotte Morris Wade, Leslie Morris Tickle, Vernon Dale Hubbard and Stephanie Morris Deaner. Great Grandchildren: Katlyn Small, James Gaskill, Jr., Marshall Sharp, Jesse Inman, Landon Sharp, Erica Wade, Justin Inman, Jordan Inman, Caleb Autry, Morgan Gaskill, Sarah Autry, John Cooper Mason, Owen Deaner and Cole Deaner. Special friends Lorraine Wade and Debbie Gaskill.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Gordon Morris, son Leslie Marshall Morris, brother-in law Garland Morris, sister-in-law Alma Lupton, grandson Davin Mark Fulford and great grandson Ethan Mark Fulford.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church.
