Mrs. Mabel M. Lawrence, 96, of Harkers Island died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Harborview Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at Free Grace Wesleyan Church on Harkers Island. Rev. Clint Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in Vergie Mae Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Knudsen of Bettie; one son, Fillmore Lawrence, Jr. and wife Janet of Chesapeake, Virginia; one sister, Nola Mae Willis of Harkers Island; four grandchildren, Tammy Knudsen, Richard Knudsen and wife Amy, Fillmore Lawrence, III and wife Eileen and Leslie Lawrence; one great-grandchild, Kara Knudsen.
She was preceded in death by one son, Harvey Cleveland Lawrence; her husband, Fillmore Lawrence; her brothers, Walter Davis, Henry Davis, Tilton Davis and Hubert Davis; sisters, Cora Guthrie and Clara Willis.
