Lucy "Ellen" (Cavenaugh) Godwin

Lucy "Ellen" Godwin, 84, of Newport, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at St. James United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Suplee officiating.
Ellen was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her by her beloved husband of 64 years Herman Godwin of the home; two daughters Barbara Bittner of Monroe, NC, and Theresa Godwin of Arlington, VA; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. James United Methodist Church PO Box 250 Newport, NC 28570.
