Lucille Dunn Russell

Lucille Dunn Russell, 74, of Buffalo, New York, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at her home.

A memorial service to honor Lucille’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, in the yard of Melanie Dawes Home, 101 Barden Drive, Havelock, NC 28532.

Lucille was born on January 25, 1950, and was the daughter of the late Catherine Wallace Gooding and Pete Dunn. A native of the Adams Creek Community in Havelock, North Carolina, Lucille later moved to Paterson, New Jersey for work where she lived until she retired. After retirement, Lucille moved back to Adams Creek until she became ill. She then moved to Buffalo, New York to be cared for by her great-niece, Maisha Henry.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Leon Russell of Patterson, NJ; the Dunn Family of New Bern, NC; Shirley Cobbs (Taft) of Morehead City, NC; Jimmy Wallace (Linda) of Havelock, NC; Kenny Wallace (Marion) of Havelock, NC; Gary Wallace of Havelock, NC; Ricky Wallace of Beaufort, NC; and Vicky Wallace of Beaufort, NC; along with a host of loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
