Lucile (Myatt) Talton

June 22, 1920 — June 9, 2012

Lucile Myatt Talton, 91, went to be with HER LORD, June 9.
Lucile was born to the late Kenneth and Elinor Myatt, June 22, 1920,in Wake County. She graduated from Garner High School in 1938 and married her sweetheart, the late James Evans Talton in 1939.

The young family lived in Wake County before moving to Carteret County in 1959. Lucile and her family were active in the Morehead City community; She was the inspiration for their charter boat "DreamoLu", served as a president and secretary of the original Fabulous Fishing Club in the early 1960's, and as a president of the Morehead City First Presbyterian Church Women in the 1960's.

Lucile is survived by her 2 beloved sons: James Evans Jr. (Tim) with wife, Betty, and Randal Glenn with wife, Virginia, and their families: 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lynn M. Shirley of Salisbury, NC,2 brothers-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, and many fond nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial donations may be sent to Wildwood Presbyterian Church, 340 Wildwood Rd, Newport, NC 28570 or Newport Baptist Church, PO Box 1330, Newport, NC 28570.

Viewing will be held at 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Munden Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Morehead City.
