Lou Ann Marie Norris, 57, of Emerald Isle, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Carolina East Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at Broad Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Broad Creek Community Cemetery.
Louann was a loving mother, she loved the beach, having fun and giving and doing things for everybody. Her granddaughter meant the world to her along with her whole family.
She is survived by her husband Douglas Norris of Emerald Isle; daughter Andrea Phillips and husband Mike of Swansboro; granddaughter Taylor Phillips of Swansboro; step mother Ressie Wheeley of Burlington; sisters Susan Gibason and partner Lisa Fitzgerald of Arizona, Robin Ratliff and husband Eric of Burlington, Lisa Hartley and husband Chris of Burlington, and Pam Brugger and husband Paul of Burlington; brother Doug Jacobs and wife Jody; sister in law Sheila Morton and husband Milon of Broad Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Joann Gibason.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
