Lorraine Davis, 81, of Newport, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Croatan Ridge Nursing Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Oaklane Cemetery in Williston with Pastor Manley Rose, Jr. officiating.
Lorraine was a very social and fun-loving person. She had an easy smile and loved to laugh. She also loved music and passed her love on to her children and grandchildren. Faith played a major role in Lorraine’s life. She was rich in her love for the “Man Upstairs”.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Banasiak and husband Glenn Gilchrist of Oakland, CA, Donna D’Alessio of Lafayette, CO, and Starr Davis of Stenmaur, Switzerland; brother, Robert Miller; sister, Marion Russ; grandchildren, Kelly D’Alessio, Kisha Timberlake Derr and Dmitri Gilchrist; and great-grandchildren, Isabella Derr and Sasha Derr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Gray Davis; parents, George and Evelyn Miller; and one brother and two sisters.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, February 6, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
