Lola Fulcher Willis, 86, of Beaufort, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Crystal Bluffs in Morehead City.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Sunday at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Beaufort with the Rev. Richard Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lola was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She was employed with Civil Service during World War II, as a Graphic Designer. Along with her husband, she was a member of a trio that traveled to many churches in the area. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a love for gardening which she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Fernie Willis of the home; son, Adrian Martin Willis and wife, Sharon of Harkers Island; three grandchildren, Adrienne Jungmann, Julie Lawrence and Heather Golden; four great-grandchildren, Mallory Lawrence, Caroline Lawrence, Hannah Jungmann and Joshua Jungmann.
The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home.
