Lola Gray Guthrie, 94, of Bogue, died Tuesday February 7, at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday February 11, at White Oak Church of God, with the Rev. DeWayne Dickerson and Rev. Richard Franklin officiating. Interment to follow at Bethlehem UMC Cemetery.
She worked at the Old Curb Market of Morehead City and with the Ladies Home Extension of Carteret County. She was a working member of Broad Creek Church of God, and a Charter member of White Church of God. She was the oldest member of her church and was the oldest living resident of Bogue.
She is Survived by a daughter Shirley Guthrie Page and husband Herbert F. of Bogue: a brother Derryl Garner and wife Jane of Newport :daughter in-law Sherry Guthrie: two grandchildren Doug Guthrie and wife Kim of Bogue, and Tajuana Guthrie Hill and husband Scotty of Bogue: eight great grandchildren Justin Guthrie, Brittany Guthrie Hadden and husband Carl, Ashelyn Guthrie Ramsey and husband Gary, Corey Kaznowski, Hailey Adamski, Brooke Adamski, Bryanna Hill, and Monica Hill: one great great grandchild (her sweetie pie) Ema Lee Hadden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elijah Guthrie, son Billy Guthrie, grandson Patrick Ryan Guthrie, parents Guy and Mae Garner, three brothers Matthew Royal Garner, Randolph Garner, Lienster Garner, and one sister Myrtle Ward.
Visitation will be 12:30-1:30pm Saturday prior to the service at the church.
