Lizzie Jane Lawrence

Lizzie Lawrence, 65, of Harkers Island, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A graveside memorial service was held 3:00 pm Monday June 8, 2015 at
Willy Willis Cemetery in Harkers Island with Rev. Robby Parnell officiating.

She is surivived  by her husband, Thomas Lawrence of the home; two sons, Thomas Lawrence Jr. and fiance Mattie, and Makley Lawrence all of Harkers Island; father, Makley Lewis of Harkers Island; sister, Vicki Yeomans and husband Terry of Harkers Island; two grandchildren, Gunnar Lawrence and Ivey Lawrence; two aunts, Collo Brooks and husband Red, and Linda Rose; three uncles, Willie Rose and wife Donna, Oliver Lewis and wife Elaine, and Mitchell Lewis and wife Melinda; mother-in-law, Esther Knudsen and husband Lester of Bettie; brother-in-law; Tony Lawrence and wife Doreen; sister-in-law, Ella Gillikin and husband Kendall; nephew, Jeremy Gillikin; special cousins, Eva Chappell, Della Brooks, Lydia and Ethan Yow, also numerous other cousins; and very special friends, Gale and Dale Crisp, and Betsy and Vick Briscoe.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Lewis and her grandparents.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home.
