Lisa Cappo Smith, 47, of Newport, NC, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her residence.
Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the Salter Path United Methodist Church with Rev. David Bratton and Rev. Dennis Evans officiating. Interment will follow at the Riggs Family Cemetery in Fort Barnwell.
Lisa was previously employed in the Downtown Morehead City Post Office and worked part time at the Net House Restaurant in Beaufort. While working toward a Nursing Degree at Carteret Community College she was employed with Carteret General Hospital up until her sickness.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jody Smith of Newport; daughter, Stephanie Anne Smith; sons, Shaun O'Neal Smith and Benjamin Samuel Smith, all of the home; parents, Elizabeth and Benny Cappo of Morehead City; biological father, Chuck Miesse of PA; sister, Debbie Tubuchi; brothers, Willie Pohoreski and David Pohoreski; and granddaughter, Kayler Lynn Bolton.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home. Also, the family will receive friends at a reception that will be held 5:00 pm Saturday in the church fellowship hall.
