Linwood "Chuck" Hall

October 12, 1925 — January 28, 2011

Linwood “Chuck” Hall, 85, of Morehead City, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Harborview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Services will be held 3:00 pm Monday at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Johnson and Rev. Charles Tyler officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Mr. Hall was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He graduated from Morehead City High School and NC State University. He served in the US Marine Corps and taught I.C.E. at West Carteret High School for ten years. He retired from Marine Fisheries and the US Coast Guard Reserves.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Hall of Morehead City; three daughters, Kay Wildham and husband, Robert of Wendell, Gail Thompson and husband, Mark of Havelock, and Crystal Hesmer and husband, Russell of Atlantic Beach; two sons, Linwood “Reggie” Hall, Jr. and wife, Diana of Newport, and Robbie Hall and wife, Kim of Newport; sister, Lillie Allen of Moyock; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Weeks; three brothers, Leland Hall, Larry Hall, and Lester Hall; sister, Loraine Dickerson, and his parents, Lester Lafayette Hall and Fannie Taylor Hall.

The family will receive friends 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1411 North 20th Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.
