Linda Kay (Pittman) Stroud

Linda Kay Stroud, 71, of Newport, died Wednesday February 13, 2013 at her home.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 Monday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Lowery officiating.
She attended the Salvation Army Church, she loved God and read her Bible daily. She worked as a breakfast cook at Hardees and previously worked at the Blue Bell Factory.
She is survived by four children Iris messerschmidt and husband Doug of Kingman, AZ, Mark Pittman of Newport, Brian Mitchell and wife Mardell of Harkers Island, and Paul "Buddy" Mitchell Jr., and wife Sallie of Beaufort: nine grandchildren: seven great grandchildren: sister Annie Davis and husband Durwood of Jacksonville: brother James Pittman of Morehead City: and beloved care-giver Jeff Pearson:
She was preceded in death by her parents Jimmie and Vida Lee Pittman.
