OBITUARY

Linda K. Johnson, 66, Service on Sunday

Linda K. Johnson went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport after a long illness.

She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Parkview Baptist Church, Morehead City with the Rev John Carswell, Rev Dean Brown and Rev. Jerry Linebarger officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Linda was born in Carteret General Hospital on September 22, 1948, to Sterling W. Ketner and Beatrice Ketner. Linda worked at Duke Marine Lab, Parkview Baptist Church and Eckerd Youth Alternatives.
She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Morehead City where she served as a Sunday school teacher for both youth and adults. She worked with the Food Pantry and was an active choir member. She loved to worship her Lord through music and songs.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Paul C. Johnson Jr. and their three sons, Richie L. Horne and wife Jamie of Morehead City, NC, Joel C. Johnson and wife Amy of Kitty Hawk, NC and Brandon C. Horne of Newport, NC. Grandchildren: Laura H. Ellis and husband James of Newport, NC; Riley C. Horne of Morehead City, NC; Sophie, Austin, Mason and Blake Johnson of Kitty Hawk NC.; Sister: Jessica Ruder & husband, Rick of Newport, NC and a Brother: Sterling Wayne Ketner & wife, Sharon, all from Newport, NC

She was preceded in death by her father, Sterling W. Ketner and mother Beatrice Ketner.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the RAAB Clinic, 302 Medical Park, Morehead City, NC

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
