Linda “Sweet Pea” King Dingman, 63, of Gloucester, went to be with the Lord the morning of Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Taylor Extended Care after a short battle with cancer.
Per her request, no services will be scheduled.
Linda was born March 13, 1949 in Fall River, MA to Andrew and Beatrice Silvia. She was married to Thomas “Mike” M. Dingman, Jr. and resided in Gloucester, NC. Linda worked for Jim Davis Industries (Handy House) in Smyrna and Davis for 17 years. During those years she made many friends whom she loved and adored.
To love and remember her, she leaves behind her husband of 19 years, Thomas M. Dingman, Jr. of Gloucester; her daughter Lisa Montgomery and husband Chris Montgomery of Delaware; her son John LaChapelle and wife Beth LaChapelle of Hubert; and her son Jesse Cloutier and girlfriend Dawn Farrell-Harkins of Gloucester; her six grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Lindsay, Courtney, and Emily Lamb of Delaware, Jennifer and Laura LaChapelle and Gabrielle Rogers of Hubert; her parents Andrew K. and Beatrice Silvia of Gloucester; her brother Andrew K. Silvia, Jr. and wife Joann Silvia of Gloucester; her sister Ann Marie Charette and husband Carl Charette of Gloucester; and Rosemary Holland and husband Rodney Holland of Gloucester.
Linda is preceded in death by her second husband Robert E. Cloutier and her uncle Frank Ferrera.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life event and will send announcements to family and friends. Also the family wishes to extend their gratitude to all for their thoughts, prayers an care during this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer research foundation of one’s choice.
