Lina Wade Weaver

Lina Wade Weaver, 85, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Lina was born on August 30, 1938, in Morehead City, NC, to the late Alvin and Mildred Wade. Throughout her life, she found peace and strength in her unwavering faith in the Lord. Lina always looked forward to attending her home church, Glad Tidings Church, where she treasured the bond she shared with her friends there. 

Among her many interests, Lina had a great love for traveling. Her most memorable and special trip was her journey to Alaska alongside her beloved husband John.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Alicia Willis Tunby of Morehead City and Charity Weaver Jackson of Virginia; son, Archie Willis Jr. of Beaufort; sister, Alice Horne (Phillip) of Morehead City and Priscilla “Prissy” Beveridge of Beaufort; and grandchildren, Trinity Faith Tunby, John Jackson, and Maddie Jackson.

In addition to her parents, Lina was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Weaver in 2017; daughter, Angela Ballard; and brother, Alvin “Bubba” L. Wade Jr.
