Lillian Leona (Bates) Green

Lillian Leona Bates Green, 89, of Newport, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday at Glad Tidings Church with Rev. Tim Mariner officiating. Interment will follow at Emanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her heart's desire was for all of her family and friends to know God as their personal Lord and Savior so they could see her again in Heaven.
She is survived by a daughter Linda Gower of Morehead City: two sons Floyd Richard Green of Morehead City, and Don Gerald Green of Newport: one brother Dennis Bates of Colorado: sister Doris French of Alabama: seven grandchildren: and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Teresa Bates, her husband Floyd Green, and a brother Les Bates.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.
