Leta was born August 8, 1931, the daughter of Gladys Whitney Dinsmore and Lionel Dinsmore of Jonesboro, Maine. She attended Jonesboro High School and graduated in the class of 1949. She was a Yankee through and through and an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan.
She retired from Coastal Ventures, Inc. in 1996. Enjoyed her work and made many friends during her employment. Leta enjoyed traveling, skiing, going to the beach and swimming. She was a country girl at heart and loved taking long drives in the country on a sunny day, reading a good book, and dining out with friends.
Leta raised four children. She took great pride in them and her beloved grandchildren. Moved to North Carolina in 2006 to be closer to her family and enjoy its beaches. Upon moving to Newport, she made lasting friendships that were very dear to her. She enjoyed baking, cooking and sharing her goodies with her neighbors. She was helpful and kind and humorous and will be missed more than you can imagine.
