Leston Gillikin

Leston Gillikin, 70, of Beaufort, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Gillikin played basketball while attending Louisburg College, he was a graduate of East Carolina University. He was a pilot and a member of the Pilots Association , member of the Rotary Club, the Board of Realtors, and the Morehead Beaufort Yacht Club. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins.
He loved and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home with Andy Rose officiating.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Peters of New Bern, and Leigh Broome and husband Arthur of New Bern; two grandchildren, Kaylie Broome and Conner Broome; and extended family, Wendy Rose of the home, Andy Rose and wife Bridgette of Clayton, Nicky Rose and wife Angie of Goldsboro, Drew Rose of Clayton, Vann Rose of Clayton, Marty Rose of Goldsboro, and Will Rose of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
