Leslie Harold Stover, 72, of Morehead City, formerly of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Cary Rehab Center.
His graveside service will be held 3pm, Sunday, July 10th, at Greenwood Cemetery, Morehead City, NC.
Leslie was born on December 12, 1949 in Long Beach, California to the late Buford and Lola Stover. He graduated from Cape Fear Community College with a degree in Mechanical Drafting. Among his many talents was his love of the outdoors, he was an avid surfer who loved catching a wave on his long board. Leslie’s other hobbies included flying radio controlled model airplanes. His love for music was evident by his accomplished bass playing skills. Leslie played in several bands over the years. He will be deeply missed by his friends and loved ones.
Leslie is survived by his daughter, April Turner (Owen) of Wilmington; son, Larry Dean Stover (Anna) of Newport; brother, Larry Martin Stover (Johnnie) of Raleigh; and grandchild, Halley Ruth Stover of Sterling, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ala Jean Stover.
