Leonda will be remembered for the excellent example she set, the delicious food she cooked for her family and others, for her love of life, her sense of humor and her unconditional love and acceptance of others. Her door and kitchen were always open to visitors.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathie Crumbacker and husband, Lee, of Beaufort; four sons, Richard Dudley and wife, Patsy, of Beaufort, Al Dudley and wife, Lynette, of Beaufort, Gary Dudley and wife, Debra of Sea Gate and Elmer Dudley Jr. of Atlantic Beach

Also, five grandchildren, Rick Dudley and fiancé, Lou Anne Skinner, Kristy D. Guthrie and husband, Scott, Deborah Dudley, Kim D. Jones and husband, Jason; Farrah C. Brooks and husband, Chris.

In addition, she leaves great-granddaughters, Alyson Piner, Layla Perry and Krista and Emily Brooks; great-grandsons, Patrick Dudley and Ethan Brooks; great-great granddaughter, Carmen Crumbacker and her mother Liz Mello.

She leaves two sisters, Vonda Pollitt and husband, Harry and Sarah Gaskill; and one brother, Bobby Goodwin and wife, Pauline.

Besides her parents, Leonda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer; grandson, Buddy Crumbacker; great-grandson, Donovan Crumbacker; great-granddaughter, infant Leslie Brooks; sisters, Lucille, Eula, Pearl, Doris and Dolly; and brothers, Buddy, Donald and Joe.
