Leonard Joseph Dufour, 99, of Newport, died Wednesday January 16, 2013 at Harborview Health Center.
The family will conduct a memorial service for family and friends 2:00-5:00 Sunday at Linda's home 924 Hardesty Loop Rd. Newport, NC.
He was a Jack of all trades. He loved life; enjoyed bowling, playing pool, dancing, playing the harmonica, and bingo.
He is survived by Marie "Mae" Willis of Newport, Lenny Dufour Jr.,of Conneticut, Betty Dow of Madison, ME, Maynard Dufour and wife Nancy of Newport, Anita Gaus and husband Bill of Newport, and Linda Dufour of Newport: twenty-five grandchildren: 45 great grandchildren: fifiteen great great grandchildren: one great great great grandchild: and three brothers and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Dufour, daughters Elaine Martin, and Rose Myers, son Bernard Dufour, six brothers and four sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Institute/Society at 930-B Wellness Dr., Greenville,NC 27834.
