Leona Ward (Parker) Russell

Leona Russell, 82, of Bogue, NC died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at her residence.
Services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday at the White Oak Church of God with Rev. Richard Franklin and Rev. DeWayne Dickerson officiating.
Mrs. Russell was a charter member of the White Oak Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, P. M. Russell of the home; daughter, Becky Stewart and husband John R, III of Broad Creek; son, Frankie Russell and wife Melanie of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Christie Watson and husband Ronnie of Peletier, Brittiany Hartley of Myrtle Beach, and Matthew Charles Stewart of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Parker Hartley of Myrtle Beach and Jacie Watson of Peleitier; and sister, Marie Bouchard of Scottsdale, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her son, Freddie Russell and brother, Odell Parker.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and also following the service.
