Leon R. Currier, Jr., 78, of Atlantic passed away July 7, 2017 at Pruitt Health in Sea Level.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Munden Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Mercer. Burial will follow at Over The Brook Cemetery in Atlantic.
Leon was a lifetime commercial fisherman and loved being on the water and working with his hands. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Leon is survived by his niece, Martha H. Carter and husband Chuck of New Bern; nephews, John W. Hill and wife Theresa of New Bern, James A. Hill and wife Susan of Newport, Daniel T. Hill and wife Connie of New Bern.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Oneta C. Hill and brother-in-law, John G. Hill.
Family will see friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home
