Lenora Butler Langley

Lenora Butler Langley, 82, formerly of Tarboro, NC, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Pruitt Health - Crystal Coast in Beaufort, NC.

Lenora’s service arrangements will be announced once finalized.

Lenora was born on August 7, 1942, in Tarboro, NC, to the late Chester and Annie Butler. After completing her high school education, Lenora further studies and embarked on a fulfilling career in the audiology field, where she contributed her skills in clerical work.

Throughout her early years, Lenora cherished time spent on the water and was an accomplished water skier. She always had a tender heart for animals which reflected her gentle spirit.

Lenora will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife of 52 years, a caring mother, and a proud grandmother who dearly loved her granddaughters. 

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Crystal Langley Toffton and husband Brandon of Newport; sister, Willie Mae Rose of Hertford, NC; brothers, Roy Butler and wife Pat, and Chester Butler, all of Tarboro, NC; granddaughters, Marilyn Toffton and Mallory Toffton; and her faithful dog, Lily.

In addition to her parents, Lenora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Arthur Langley; sister, Martha Jackson; and brothers, Roy Butler and Oscar Butler.
