Lela went to be with her Lord after a stroke at Blowing Rock Hospital Extended Care, Blowing Rock, NC on August 31, 2011.
Lela is survived by many nieces and nephews. She loved each one of you and appreciated everything you did for her. She enjoyed her activates in the community and thanks each one of you. Lela was a member of Pelletier Baptist Church, Swansboro, NC and loved her caring Minister Dr. Michael Blevins and members of her church. She was very faithful to her church and the organizations she was involved with.
Her time in Blowing Rock became very special to her. She grew to love the mountains and all the people that visited her from First Baptist Church Blowing Rock.
“Special thanks to the staff at Deerfield Assistant Living and Dr. John Davis and all the nurses at Blowing Rock Extended Care”. They loved Lela and had fun playing games, getting her hair fixed and getting her nails painted every week. Lela loved this tender loving care she received from a lot of people.
May each one of you know she was very well taken care of while in Blowing Rock and may this bring you peace.

There will be no VISITATION or GRAVESIDE SERVICE. Dr. Michael Blevins will officiate the service at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City, NC 28557
