Leary Sparks, 66, of Stacy, passed away, June 1, 2014 at Pruitt Health in Sea Level.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Stacy Community Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Mercer and Rev. Ernest Laxton officiating.
Mr. Sparks was very athletic at basketball, swimming and baseball. He dearly loved his nieces and nephew.
He is survived by his brother, Danny Orval Sparks and wife Barbara of Stacy; sister, Diana Gail Wells and husband Charles of Stacy; nephew, Destry Shannon Sparks and wife Millie of Newport; niece, Crystal Wells Howard and husband Shane Porter of Swansboro; two great nieces, Ashlyn Brianna Gaskill and Madison Nicole Gaskill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial cards may be made to the family, c/o Mike and Gail Wells, 155 Stacy Loop Rd, Stacy, NC 28581.
