Lawrence O'Neal Welch

Lawrence Welch, 79, of Havelock, passed away, February 1, 2018 at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.

No formal services are scheduled, at his request.

Lawrence was born on April 25, 1938 in Urania, LA. He retired from the United States Army and Facilities Maintenance Cherry Point.

Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Perkins Welch, of the home; sons, Robert Welch and wife, Ramona of Olympia, WA and Eugene Welch and wife, Chantel of Loveland, CO; daughter, Patricia Welch of Oklahoma; stepsons, Kelly Moore and wife, Stacie of Eatonville, WA and Jonathan Moore of Cary, NC; stepdaughter, Melissa Willey and husband, Randy of Clayton, NC; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Dowling Welch and Doris Scarbrough Welch; brother, Fred Eugene Welch.
