Lawrence "Larry" Holtzworth

Lawrence "Larry" Irwin Holtzworth, 77, of New Bern, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Carolina East Medical Center.

He was a native of Long Beach, CA. He worked as a drafting technician with Fleet Readiness Center East for 25 years and was a sergeant first class in the Army National Guard (retired).

Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 5th in Union Point Park, 210 East Front St., New Bern, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Brigitte K. Holtzworth; sons, Robert and Richard Holtzworth and Marc and Dirk McVicker; daughters, Silke Morse, Kirsten Brewer and Heather Holtzworth; sisters Marie Minghini and barbara Paradise of California; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in benefit of his grandchildren's secondary education in c/o, Kirsten B. Brewer, 15 Rivera Lane, Sanford, NC 27332.
