Larry G. Arnold, Sr. 79, of Mill Creek, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Carteret Health Care.

His funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mill Creek, officiated by Reverend Bill Hooper, Reverend Paul Loftin and Reverend Vince Arnold. Interment will follow at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

Larry was a faithful member and past deacon and superintendent of Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He served in the National Guard Army Reserve in active duty for 12 years. Larry was a marine contractor for over 60 years and he worked as a longshoreman for 18 years. He loved working on the water, shrimping, oystering and fishing and above all, his family and church family.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Cobb Arnold of the home; daughters, Peggy Sue Burke of Newport, Velvet Dawn Harper of Havelock, Angela Clark of Newport, Bedie (B.B.) Rhue of Newport, Marion Allsbrook Young of Clayton; sons, Larry G. Arnold, Jr. of Newport, David Lee Allsbrook of Nashville, Gary Cobb Allsbrook of Scotland Neck, Jeffrey Lewis of Newport; sisters, Nellie Guthrie of Newport, Lois Sawyers of Newport; brothers, William Gerald Arnold of Newport, Linwood Lee Arnold of Newport, Mark Allen Arnold of Raleigh; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 dogs, Annabella and Breana, and a cat named Kit Kat.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melton and Leola Arnold; 2 infant sisters; brothers, Ralph “Shy Bo” Arnold, J.D. Arnold; daughter, Beverly Lewis; granddaughter, Amber Harper; grandson, Matthew Lewis.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mill Creek.

Flowers are welcome, or memorials can be made to Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church – Parking Lot Fund at 3448 Mill Creek Rd, Newport, NC 28570.
