Laraine Marie Asby, 60, of Newport, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at home.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City with Brother Bob Lowery officiating.

Laraine is survived by her daughters, Brittany Beaman and husband, Jaron, of Farmville and Kayla Asby of Greenville; father, Howard Asby and stepmother, Alice, of Morehead City; mother, Virginia N. Britt and stepfather, OC Britt, Jr.; brothers, Phil Asby and wife, Aliceson, of Winterville and Sanford Ipock and wife, Nicolle, of Collierville, TN; sisters, Cindy Ipock of Newport, Arlene Patten and husband, Mark, of Morehead City, Becky Gigee and fiancé, Russ, of Newport, and Rhonda Gurganus and husband, Jerry, of Richmond Hill, GA; and grandchildren, Juliyanne Beaman and Jace Beaman; also many beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:30 – 6:30 pm Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
