Lacie Renee Treadway

Lacie Renee Treadway, 40, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Carteret Health Care.

Lacie was born on June 9, 1983, in Jackson, Michigan, to Charles Lee Shadrick Jr. and Rebecca Lynn Shadrick. Their family later moved to North Carolina where Lacie excelled academically and graduated with honors from North Iredell High School with the Class of 2001. She pursued further education at Catawba Community College and Mitchell Community College to enhance her business skills, which were seen throughout her career as a Manager at Dollar General.

Those who knew Lacie could attest to her love of ocean fishing. Nothing was more fun, challenging, and rewarding than fishing from the pier and reeling in a great catch. More than anything, her remarkable personality endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Charles and Rebecca Shadrick of Union Grove, NC; husband, Joshua Allen Treadway of Fort Wayne, IN; children, Joshua Alexander Draughn (Kendall), Zachary Haddaway, Michael Haddaway, and Roxie Treadway; brother, Charles Alan Shadrick (Sarah) of Newport, NC; granddaughter, Lillian Draughn; aunt, Barbara Chatham (Roger); and uncle, Marvin Williams.

The family will celebrate her life privately.
