Kurt Beckers, 57, of Stella, died Tuesday October 30, 2012, at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday November 3 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rodger Poling officiating.
Kurt was a member of the VFW Post 9960, Men's Auxiliary, and Moose Lodge 2194 in Newport.
He is survived by his wife Susan Beckers of the home: mother Mabel Beckers of Stella: daughter Susan Beckers of Connecticut: three step-children Jessica Gallagher of California, Kerry Overlock of Connecticut, and Eric Rataic of Connecticut: granchildren Johnathan, Michael, Kayla, Jillian, Gabriel, Aspen, Madison, and Landon: in-laws Bill and Lory Makara of Maysville, and Frank Rataic of Connecticut: several nieces and nephews: sisters in-law Carol and Maureen of Connecticut: and brothers in-law Greg, Dave, and Bruce of Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Beckers and brother Ralph Beckers.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a Charity of one's choice.
