Kristin Heins Carlson

Kristin Heins Carlson, 48, of Newport, passed away Thursday, November 22­, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center.

Kristin honorably served in the United States Navy where she had the opportunity to see the world. She worked for her family’s business as well as a certified framer. Most recently, she worked as a cashier with Food Lion in Morehead City.  Kristin loved animals and was a great mother that would do anything for her kids, she put them before herself at all times.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Noble Carlson of Newport; and twins, Graci Ann Love Badders and Seth Owen Christian Badders, both of Wilmington; sisters, Kelly Ann Hodges and husband, Bobbie, of Newport and Heather Amber Lyons and husband, Chuck, of Newport; brother, Edward Heins of New York; and her 3 dogs, Cooper, Olga and Sophie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Amber Nellis and father, Herman Kurt Heins.
