Kiyo Shimoji Wilson, 83, of Havelock, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Carolina East Medical Center.

She was a retired seamstress for multiple local factories. She loved playing Japanese card games with friends, enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clifford Roy Wilson of the home; one daughter, Kazuko "Kay" Durham and husband Jimmy of Newport: a son Selby Wilson of South Carolina; grandson, Kevin Conner; sister, "Tomi" Tomiko of Jacksonville; brother, Risie Shimoji of Okinawa, Japan; two great-grandchildren; one nephew Joseph Zawasky; two nieces Mary Handy and husband Dave of San Marcos, CA, and Michelle Voepel and husband Jason and of Chapel Hill, NC; a great niece and nephew Jacob and Avery Handy of San Marcos, CA; and her Dachsund "Charlie".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Seiyu and Kanemega Shimoji, and brother, Hiroshi Shimoji.
