Kevin Wade Pelletier, born February 21st 1957, passed away Tuesday April 3rd after a long and valiant battle. Know to many as “Bubba” he was a true and loyal friend to those who had the pleasure to know him. A satiric writer and illustrator with an acerbic wit and quick intelligence, he contributed many of the Buddy Pelletier Surfing Foundation’s graphics and logos, preferring to work quietly behind the scenes.
He was best known by those who were closest to him for his outrageous sense of humor and his love of pranks. His dimpled grin and outstretched hand were always a welcome sight.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Munden Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Williams officiating.
He is survived by his Mother, Carole Pelletier of Morehead City, his brother Kit Pelletier of Hamburg, New Jersey and his sisters Lynne Pelletier and Lisa Pelletier-Harman of Morehead City, Lori Pelletier of Greensboro and Gay LaPointe of Emerald Isle and his brother of the heart Frank Cannon. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews who will deeply miss their “adventures” with Uncle Bubba.
He is predeceased by his father Wade Pelletier and his brother Buddy Pelletier.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Kevin’s honor to the Buddy Pelletier Surfing Foundation 5121 Chalk Street, Morehead City, NC 28557
