Kevin Thomas Guthrie, 47, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday June 18, 2015 at Carolina East Medical.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home.
Kevin loved traveling all over the Eastern United States, with friend Jeff building tennis courts. He was very active and enjoyed playing soccer, surfing, boating and riding dirt bikes, and spent equal time on land and water.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Guthrie Chidsey and husband Timothy of Morehead City; aunt, Rhoda Pauline Trechiel of Morehead City; two uncles, William Carmack and wife Lois of Linden, MI, and Wayne Guthrie and wife Pearl of Kenansville, NC; three nieces, Nicole Heine and husband Collin, of St. louis MO, and Amanda and Britney Farnum both of Rotterdam, NY; nephew, Ray Farnum and wife Kayla of Morehead City; great nieces, Dana, Erin and Reina; two great nephews, Brayden, Asher; and two best friends since childhood, Alan Hilbert and Jeff McCann both of Morehead City.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon C.Guthrie Jr. and Doris J. Guthrie of Morehead City.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
