Kevin Flanagan, 50, of Havelock, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.
Mr. Flanagan was a good father, which he felt was his greatest achievement in life. Kevin was a member of Liberty Church of Havelock.
His funeral service will be held at Munden Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel in Havelock at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 with Reverend Tom Roberts officiating.
Kevin is survived by his daughter, Carlie Flanagan of Long Island, NY; fiancée, Jennifer Rizzo Ellison of Havelock; mother, Georgette Sabga Flanagan of Centerville, VA; aunt, Adla Sabga of Castlerock, WA; sister, Kathleen Slotten and husband Joel of Centerville, VA; grandchildren, Dylan, Alex, Eli, Anthony, Jaxson and Aubrey; niece, Katie; and nephews, Alex, Chris and Jon.
He was preceded in death by his father SSgt. George F. Flanagan, USMC who was KIA; and uncle, Col. Lawrence Flanagan, USMC.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel in Havelock.
