Kenneth "Kenny" Salmon

Kenneth "Kenny" Salmon, 49, of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Carteret Health Care.

A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at a later date.

Kenny was born on March 18, 1972, in Morehead City, North Carolina to the late Patrick and Nancy Salmon. Growing up and living on the Crystal Coast was special for Kenny as he always loved being near the water. Kenny was a well-known DJ in our area and his love and knowledge for music was extensive. His artistic ability came alive in ink art which he enjoyed doing for 25 years. In his free time, he enjoyed working out at the gym. His love for his wife, Katrina, was undeniable. Kenny was well loved by so many and will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Katrina Meloy-Salmon of the home; sons, Dylan Alexander Lawrence of Newport and Kenneth Salmon Jr. of Kentucky; stepdaughter, Laura Meloy of Youngsville, NC; stepson, Zachary Meloy of Newport; sister, Nancy Hackler of Maysville; grandchild, Carlie Beale; furry friends, Sasha and Sopheria; along with several nieces and nephews.
