Kenneth George Henninger

Kenneth George Henninger, 66, of Beaufort, beloved husband and father, went home to be with his Lord on March 21, 2011.
Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Marshallberg Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Whitby and Rev. Doug Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Through The Woods Cemetery in Marshallberg.
Mr. Henninger was born February 17, 1945 to Kenneth Harry and Leonda Murphy Henninger. He served four years in the US Coast Guard, followed by 38 years of civil service at Cherry Point. He retired on January 3, 2006 when he and his wife Dollie had the pleasure of caring for their grandson, Dalton.
He is survived by his wife, Dollie E. Henninger; children, Kenneth I. Henninger of Beaufort, Keith Henninger and wife, Caroline of Gloucester, Christie Werner and husband, Tim of Leonardtown, MD, and Amy Smith and husband, Eric of Newport; seven grandchildren; sister, Patricia Holcombe and husband, Ron of Gloucester; and brother, Arlie Henninger and wife, Gaylyn of Bow, New Hampshire.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Harry Henninger; mother, Leonda Murphy Henninger; and sisters, Grace Ann Lewis, Mary Caroline Henninger, and Melodie Henninger.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the church.
