Kenneth Edward Gooding

Kenneth Edward Gooding, 54, of Beaufort, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 26, 2016 at First Free Will Baptist Church of Beaufort with Rev. Richard Patterson and Rev. Joseph Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Kenneth retired as a firefighter and EMT from Station # 54 in Beaufort. He also retired from the Town of Beaufort as a welder, mechanic, truck driver and a general “Jack of all Trades”. He was a good father, and brother, a good friend, and he touched many lives. He served on the Board for First Free Will Baptist Church of Beaufort.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Gooding of Morehead City; twin daughters, Katelyn Rose Gooding and Emily Kathryn Gooding of the home; son, Edward William Gooding of the home; step-father, Frank Springle of Beaufort; sister, Joyce Anne Willis and husband Richard “Pete” Arnold Willis of Beaufort; cousin, Rick Gillikin and wife Sandra of Beaufort; and his four legged companions, Romeo and Corky Gooding.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Prevale “Jack” Gooding and Glenda Gillikin Springle; uncle, Horace Gillikin; grandparents, Wayne and Christine Gooding; aunt and uncle, Phyllis and Leon Gillikin; and grandparents, Elsie and Charles Lockhart.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
