Kenneth W. Gillikin, 69, of Otway, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Carteret Health Care.
A memorial service for Kenneth will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Gillikin Family Cemetery.
Kenneth loved his grandchildren. Kenneth and his son built a truck which they enjoyed mud-racing with. He worked with Atkinson Dredging for over 20 years and at Open Grounds Farm for over 29 years.
Kenneth is survived by his daughters; Wendy Garner and husband Durwood, Ginger Wellons, Kelly Jordan and husband Mike; son, Kevin Gillikin and wife Tammy; sister, Cynthia Brown; grandchildren, Robyn Wilson and husband Tom, Hannah Garner and fiancé Patrick Styron, Jacob W. Cahoon, Brittany Gillikin and significant other JD Pierce, Crystal Davis and husband Barney, Christopher Lupton and significant other Juanita Salter, Dylan Jordan and wife Jacquelyn; great-grandchildren, Sophia Wilson, Ariana Wilson and fiancé Ray Winchester, Patrick Styron, Jr, Colton Jordan, Haley Peregoy, Danielle Davis; and great-great-grandchild, Kenslie Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Janette Gillikin; parents, Waddell and Eleanor Gillikin; and his only niece, Sarah Dawn Brown.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held one hour prior to the service at Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church.
