Kenneth Moore Gaskill

Kenneth Moore Gaskill, 80, of Cedar Island, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday September 27, 2015.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Cedar Island United Methodist Church with Rev. Darcy Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Island Community Cemetery.

He worked for North Carolina Marine Fisheries Law Enforcement from 1959 and retired in 1984 after 24 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Caldonia "Cad" Gaskill of the home; daughter, Anna Brown and husband Kyle of Cedar Island; two sons, Howard Gaskill and wife Rosa of Morehead City, and Kenneth E. "Nim" Gaskill and wife Susan of Cedar Island; sister, Gay Lupton of Cedar Island; and grandchildren, Laken Kristine Brown , and James Douglas Gaskill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Edith Gaskill; son, Thomas Scott Gaskill; and sister, Edna Styron.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
