Keith Harlin, 71, of Morehead City, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Carteret Health Care.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 8th, at Munden Funeral Home.
Keith was born on March 11, 1951, in Alabama, to the late Robert and Betty Harlin. With a great love of the open waters and beautiful sea life, Keith could often be found on his boat fishing or in the water scuba diving. The Florida Keys being his favorite diving destination. He started the Harlin lobster diving tradition with his father in 1968. The family continues the diving tradition each year. Keith also obtained his pilot’s license that further confirms his adventurous spirit.
Keith moved to Morehead City 4 years ago, where he enjoyed the coastal salt life. He was a loving husband of 42 years whose life was a testimony of his dedication to his family. Whether it was how he provided for them or the love he provided, Keith was a constant, strong influence. Keith wasn’t afraid to tackle projects and his children would confidently say he could fix anything that was broken.
He is survived by his wife, Moida Harlin; daughters, Lisa Skinner and husband Ray and Heather Harlin; son, Jason Harlin and wife Laura; sister, Lydia Harlin Peldner and husband Patrick; grandchildren, Ray Ray Skinner, Victoria Skinner, Emily Harlin, Ryder Harlin, Brian Harlin and Betty Harlin; and great-grandson, Hunter Skinner.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his son, Brian Harlin; and brothers, Chris Harlin, Dean Harlin and Shelby Harlin.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome.
