Kathleen Warren

Kathleen G. Warren, 90, of Morehead City, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Carteret General Hospital.

Kathleen was a child care giver and was known as "Mother" by many far and wide. She enjoyed working in her yard and had a great love for flowers.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Stallsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.

She is survived by five daughters, Yvonne Pittman and husband Jerry of Salter Path, Diane Hodges of Washington, Kathy Jones of Morehead City, Patsy Tassoni and husband Nick of Livonia, MI, and Sonia Lewis and husband Wayne of Morehead City; two sons, Buddy Warren and wife Hannah, and Gordon Warren and companion, Debbie Strickland, all of Morehead City; two sisters, Opal Stanley of Burlington and Maxine Crisco of Wilmington; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren (too many to name).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Warren, sons, Joe Hodges, III, Jimmy Hodges, James Hodges, John Warren, and Melvin Warren, her parents, James and Lillian Gerringer, five sisters, Lousine, Joyce, Betty, Edith, and Peggy, and two brothers, James and Ray.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
